This chapter is a really interesting chapter because it made me think on what happens in me and around me in the different aspects of my life.
In this chapter i found a quote writen by Rene Descartes that tells pretty much what we are, "I think, therefore I am" and about that quote my opinion says that we think that we exist but we don't think how we exist!
This quote shows us that we think critically so we can exist in this world and tells us that we are part of a real life and not a dream or an illusion. But anyway, I think that even if this quote is true or not, we will still live our lives and we can prove that we are alive by the statements and arguments that each of us can say or conclude.
another thing that 3rd chapter also made me think about, is that why do we ask about our lifes?, I mean why aren't we sure that we are alive if we can move, live, talk, and do whatever we want, so I think this is a little too much and we shouldn't be questioning about our lifes that is unique and we should enjoy it as much as we can.

I agree with you in the part you say we should enjoy more our lives, because one thing is to question some aspects of life, but I have seen people who get obsessed to know things, being traumatized if they don't get it. And I think that we make those kind of questions because very deeply in us we doubt about our perception and we want to be right and be sure of our existence.
ResponderEliminar@Carlos Valdes I agree with you both you ant Toño, I think we should live our lives the best way we can because life is something wonderful we have given. I don't say that questioning it is wrong, but we should see life in a positive way, even though many people try to see it as a horrible gift or start to doubt many things about it.
ResponderEliminarExactly my point. Screw questioning about our existence, let's just enjoy life. Who cares if it's real or not, it's beautiful.
ResponderEliminarDon't get me wrong though, of course questioning is good if you want to broaden your knowledge. It's unavoidable. Don't think way too much about it, though. It's not fun to spend a day thinking about what may be the real reason of your existence and then finding out you just wasted a whole day of your beautiful life. I'm glad your point of view puts enjoying life above everything, I think exactly the same.
I think what descartes was trying to say is that a person is when he can think that he is exists. Someone exists until he thinks, until an action is made, the basic action of thinking that leads to many other actions.
